Tom Berg’s final act as a City Councilman will be to cast one last meaningless, illogical and confounding anti-rail vote. In spite of the fact that the overwhelmingly pro-rail voters of his district have already given him the boot via last month’s election, Tom insists on being Tom one last time.
The vote in question is a straightforward acceptance of the $1.5 billion in federal funding, not, as Tom’s fuzzy logic circuits process it:
“…would you rather be able to flush your toilet or ride the rail?
The actual choice is a lot simpler and does not involve toilets. Take the money, or don’t take the money.
Berg says he is going to vote against accepting the federal money…”not because he is against rail,” but because…blah, blah, blah…(I stopped reading.)
In related news, it appears Federal Agents attached to security for the recent APEC conference, occasionally get drunk and shoot people that upset them. So, all in all, Berg’s stint in the City Council could have gone a lot worse.
Voters are getting rail and flushing Berg.
He can always run against his loopy former staffers for Village Idiot.
The only ones he’s fooling any more are those amazingly clueless twerps at Hon. Weakly. Airhead undergrads don’t even read it now.
Go directly to the Neighborhood Board, do not collect $200.
